To ensure that students succeed in their studies, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen provides reasonably priced catering close to the university. The dining halls and cafeterias offer a wide range of food and beverages, which always meet the needs and wishes of the guests.
In addition, the facilities are also popular meeting places. Therefore, a visit to the "Mensa" (dining hall) is an indispensable part of student life.

Labelling of additives and allergens in the food offers according to the Zusatzstoff-Zulassungsverordnung (ZZulV) § 9 Kenntlichmachung / Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 (Food Information Regulations).
As daily changes in the offer are only displayed in the Internet menu with a certain time delay, we ask you to additionally inform yourself about the presence of allergens, additives and ingredients at the displays. When allergenic ingredients are used, they will be indicated.
Despite utmost care, however, we cannot exclude the possibility - technically unavoidable - that these substances may also have been added to other dishes.

CO₂-Äquivalente in den Thüringer Mensen

Ab sofort findet ihr in allen hochschulgastronomischen Einrichtungen des Studierendenwerks Thüringen auf dem Speiseplan eine neue Kennzeichnung. Neben den gewohnten Informationen gibt es nun auch die Darstellung des CO₂-Äquivalenzwertes (CO₂e).

Neue Mehrwegbecher in den Mensen und Cafeterien

Ab Februar gibt es in den Mensen und Cafeterien des Studierendenwerks Thüringen neue Mehrwegbecher für Heißgetränke. Über Instagram haben uns zahlreiche Ideen und kreative Sprüche von Studierenden für die Gestaltung der Mehrwegbecher erreicht.

Preisanpassungen zum 01.01.2025 in den Mensen des Studierendenwerks Thüringen

Zum 1. Januar 2025 wird das Studierendenwerk Thüringen die Preise in den Mensen erhöhen. Mit der Preisanpassung werden Kostensteigerungen, denen sich auch das Studierendenwerk Thüringen nicht entziehen kann, abgemildert. Gleichzeitig soll das Angebot, die Qualität der Speisen und deren Vielfalt nicht eingeschränkt werden.

Pastateller zum Festpreis

Seit Anfang Juli bieten wir in der Mensa Ehrenberg in Ilmenau und in der Mensa am Park in Weimar Pastateller zur Selbstbedienung zum Fixpreis an. Täglich stehen euch zwei Sorten Nudeln und zwei Soßen (1x vegan, 1x vegetarisch) zur Auswahl. Für Studierende kostet der Teller 3,10 EUR.

The “Mensa Dictionary” accompanies three students on their daily way through the students' cafeteria. With the help of numerous illustrations, helpful information and vocabulary is provided in German, English, and Chinese.

Evaluation

At regular intervals, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen tests its offers and services. Students and guests are asked about their satisfaction and for suggestions for improvements as well as critical evaluations.
